Postpone of 20th AGM

NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT OF 20^TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the 20^th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Country Line Dance Association (Singapore) (CLDAS) initially convened for June 2020 will be postponed to a later date to be determined.

As it is expected that social distancing measures will still be in place even after the Circuit Breaker period ends, this year’s AGM may have to be different from what we have been familiar with. Such changes are made possible given the clear guidelines provided by the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020 (“the Act”) and the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Alternative Arrangements for Meetings for Registered Societies) Order 2020 (“the Order”), which Order came into force on 27 April 2020.

AGM by electronic means is an alternative but may be a challenge for many of our members. Under the Act, AGM may be postponed till 30 September 2020. The Committee have decided to wait for the next announcement by MOH after Phase 3 of the possibility to hold a Physical AGM.

When the new date for the AGM is determined, all our members will be notified two (2) weeks before the date. Documents such as the Notice of AGM and Financial Report will be sent to every member as before.

20th Anniversary Celebration Cancelled

Hello members and friends!

It is with great regret that the upcoming events in August leading to our 20th Anniversary have to be cancelled.

As we are not certain when social activities and the group size restrictions can be lifted, we have decided to cancel the celebration. Postponement is not an option until situation is clearer.

Furthermore, our artists from USA, Australia and Indonesia will also be facing travel restrictions both on departures and arrivals.

We are now processing refunds to those who have paid for the events. We ask that you be patient with this due to the large number of refunds. You will be contacted in due course.

Regular Jams @ PLS Suspended

With the announcement yesterday of stricter safe distancing measures, and the extension of suspending activities for seniors, CLDAS has decided to cancel the upcoming 27 Mar 2020 jam at Paya Lebar Square until further notice. Your health and safety is our upmost concern. Thank you for your understanding.

Regular Jams @ PLS Suspended

CLDAS is exercising its social responsibility to support the latest social distancing advisory by the government to curb the virus spreading among seniors. As such, we regret this Friday, 13 Mar 2020 jam at Paya Lebar Square will be cancelled. The regular Friday jam is expected to resume after 24 Mar 2020.

The regular jams at Eurasian Association are still suspended until further notice.
