Folks,

A quick note to let everyone know that the dance list of the social evening/jam for Alison Johnstone Workshop+Jam on Friday, 1 Jul 2011 is out.

There will be NO ticket sales at the door. We want everyone to have enough space to enjoy your dancing, plus dinner is catered for.

The event is a sold out. We thank everybody for your support.

Howdy Folks,

Just to let everyone know that we’re back in business this Friday, 29 Apr 2011 at SingPost Paya Lebar for our weekly line dance jam. Dance list is out right now.

Please take note though that Sunday, 1 May 2011 is closed in view of Labour Day. This is in line with our tradition of closing on public holidays when they fall on the weekly jams.

BTW, you can thank our President, Mr. Michael Pang, for transporting the sound system to and fro for repair in spite of his busy schedule. Thank you, Mr. President. ;)

Howdy Folks,

Most of you should know by now that our sound system powered off suddenly last Sunday, 17 Apr 2011 half way through the jam. We thought it was a fuse blow and were trying to change it but couldn’t as we didn’t have the right tools and the lights were dim.

After the fuse was changed the next day the sound system still had no power. We’ve since sent the sound system in to the vendor. Their first diagnosis didn’t reveal the problem so more checking has to be done. At this point in time there’s no telling when it will get fully repaired.

That being the case and since we couldn’t find another cost effective alternative, we’ll be closing our weekly SingPost jams with immediate effect till further notice.

Thank you for your understanding.

Dear Members,

We wish to say thank you for the overwhelming support of our upcoming Malaysia Vesak Day line dance trip (13-18 May 2011). At the same time, we wish to say sorry to those members who haven’t gotten a chance to join the trip.

As you’re probably aware, since we don’t have an official clubhouse, we use the venue of our weekly jams as official place of contact to make the first announcements of upcoming events. The upcoming Malaysia trip was mooted in the committee meeting on Sunday, 23 Jan 2011 and announced in that same evening at SingPost jam with scant details to gauge members’ response. The response was overwhelming with the trip virtually fully booked by the end of the evening. That being the case, we didn’t see the need to have the event posted on this website.

Currently, we still have quite a few members on “wait list”. Much as we like to accommodate everyone,  logistics and control purposes dictate us to stop at a bus load of 44 pax.

Once again, we wish to thank you all for your understanding and continuing support of the association and its activities.
